Penny Tovar is an internet personality, educator, registered nurse, and advocate for sustainability, clean beauty, disability awareness, and Hispanic culture. She is based in Washington state, right outside of Portland, Oregon. While Penny initially launched her channel as the go-to place for all things curly hair, Penny had a stronger message to convey as a First-Generation Mexican American and special needs mother. Creating content that spans topics across motherhood, comedy, beauty, and lifestyle, Penny captures the zeitgeist of millennials with her signature flair and raw, real attitude. With over 1 million dedicated fans, Penny has used her platform to advocate for change at the United Nations, with the Ad Council, and previously on Hispanicize across the topics of sustainability, education, and Hispanic representation in the media. Now, she continues to expand on her passions which includes advocating for inclusion of those with disabilities, like her daughter who has Down Syndrome.
