Sauced Up! Foods

Sauced Up! Foods is a food, recipe, photography, and videography account experimenting in the kitchen with different recipes, flavors, and ingredients

The face of Sauced Up!, Staley grew up trying a plethora of different cuisines. Her appetite for food only grew bigger and bigger with every new dish.

“I would get looks from people as they would see a small toddler trying and loving foods they were too skeptical to taste. I grew up with an appreciation for food, the work that went behind it, and the time it took to create the plate. I often found myself too busy with my studies to try to recreate the dish and relied on the professionals (and Trader Joe’s) to make what I ate. It dawned on me as I worked through college that if I want good food, I need to learn to make it myself. Just like my biology labs, I too needed to get experimenting. I did a deep dive through social media to find chefs and their recipes to try. The exploration of science in the kitchen paired with the artful design of the plate immediately got me hooked. And with that, I finally found my passion. Over the next couple of years, I made as many of my meals as possible. I would cook side-by-side with YouTube videos following every step. I worked to understand the fundamentals, so I could begin to add my own creative spin. It was extremely rewarding to take that first bite after learning a new recipe. I soon came to find out that cooking didn’t have to be difficult, yet there is this perception that it is complicated, time consuming, or it is just not meant for “me”. But I want to show people through my recipes that cooking is approachable. I want to build confidence in the kitchen and conversations at the table!” - Staley
